please help a 70 noob with equipment issues2010-03-10 00:00:00I am a noob, I have no idea where to go now I hit 70. I didn't even know about specialization in leatherworking. Is it worth it to specialize with the expansion pack out? Where do I go?
I'm thinking about going for revered with the consortium and getting that gun. is that a good gun? All the quest rewards have been for shammies. I don't want to go back to leather for crit chance and agility. Not to mention I'm pretty sure my armor contributes to my pet's armor, so I'd be gimping my pet. He already takes a beating in outlands. I'm seeing a lot of mp5 gear, I assume that means mana per 5 seconds. Should I get this? Most of it is intellect gear, but perhaps I could increase my dps by using m...
LVL 30 Hunter 2010-03-01 00:00:00Quote:You better have a full asbestos battle armor on.
ROFL - nice!
Also, read EVERY post in this forum. By the time your eyes become un-blurred and your head stops spinning from data overlaod, you may have an idea of what to buy. HINT: +AG, +INT, +STAM, +AP
However, to help get you started on the path of the hunter, I would recommend purchasing a good bow and arrow set, much like Robin Hood would have used. It is quiet and not as violent a killer as a gun. You will need to buy a quiver to store those lovely arrows. Now, if you are the more violent type, go with a good gun. Makes loud noises, looks great and rends big holes in your enemy. Be sure to add bullets and a shot pouch to store them in. Guns are pretty useless without some bullets.
Now, once your enemy gets a little closer you will need something to club them over the head with, be it sharp or blunt. Most hunters prefer the sharper instruments, such as swords, axes... things like that. Bare hands just don't cut it against metal armor. If your leanings are more peaceful, a mace or staff can help make you feel better. You won't see as much blood and therefore not feel as squemish once your enemy is down. All of the damage will have been on the inside and not out. Out of sight, out of mind everyone says! However, I would recommend the sharp tools. You are a hun...
Upcoming Engineer Changes2009-10-17 00:00:00Hey, everyone鈥擬asterOfDisguise here with some big news! The Engineering profession will be undergoing some MAJOR changes and, for once, it's actually mostly awesome! Before I get to the break and share the good news, I just have one thing to say: Engineers rejoice! You can read the full details after the break! Engineering Added a new Mind Amplification Dish attachment for helmets, allowing engineers to control other humanoid targets. Some restrictions apply: does not work in Arenas, dish sometimes reverses targets, unable to stack with other stat-improving head enchantments and makes your helmet look... stylish? Added a schematic for a Goblin Welding Beam that can heal friendly mechanical or vehicle units. Alarm-o-Bot functionality changed. Materials required reduced. Box of Bombs no longer requires an anvil. The Cobalt Frag Bomb now incapacitates enemies within a 3-yard radius. A short cast time was added, but they are usable while moving. This change applies to any Cobalt Frag Bombs already created. The existi...
Onlife #32009-09-22 00:00:00I'll get right to it: it's been a very eventful week (isn't it always?), and I'm almost literally out the door to attend this year's Gen Con gaming expo in scenic, and exciting, Indianapolis. I've never been to the Midwest, mind you, so I have no idea what to expect. This will also be my first Gen Con, and though I have a general idea as to what to expect, I'm sure my preconceptions can only touch on the reality. I'm envisioning miles upon miles of folding tables with DM screens propped on them, veritable mountains of aluminum soda cans, and several small countries' net worth of Magic cards changing hands. This is probably only the beginning. In any case, I'm excited as to what I'll see, who I'll get to talk to, and just how many middle-aged men in halfling costumes I'll get to photograph. Wish me luck, especially in accomplishing the latter.Anyway, on to this MMORPG stuff. Two of the biggest names on the scene have a whole lot going on this week, one...

It may be alittle ¡°too¡± gear driven. There are some complaintsthat gear can surpass a player’s ability to play, meaningthat a poor playing, well geared individual will surpass a poorlygeared outstanding player.
